In a tear-jerking video, 51-year-old Dawn Bilbrough begged people to stop panic-shopping and leave some stuff for those who can’t afford to be at the store whenever they please.

“I’ve just come out [of] the supermarket and there’s no fruit and veg. I had a little cry in there. I just wanted to get something in for the next 48 hours. There’s no fruit there’s no vegetables, I just don’t know how I’m supposed to stay healthy,” York-based Bilbrough said with tears in her eyes.

“There’s people stripping the shelves of basic foods, you just need to stop it, it’s people like me who are going to be looking after you when you’re at your lowest, please.”

After her heartbreaking video went viral, the hardworking nurse has also spoken out to The Sun and admitted she’d been offered food by Good Samaritans since her video went viral. Instead of accepting anything, however, she requested them to donate it to food banks.

“I think I was just shocked, I wasn’t expecting it. I was totally overwhelmed by the whole situation. Then the fear just started to kick in. It’s a natural response to be fearful right now,” Bilbrough told The Sun.

“I just felt like I was being dragged into the mass anxiety that’s happening at the moment.”

According to the nurse, the healthcare workers are doing their best not only to treat the patients but to keep each other’s morale up.

“I think we all need to look out for each other at the moment and really work as a team. We can get through this,” she concluded in an interview with The Sun.
