1pt;">The largest hospital in Maine announced that nine of their nurses who work in the labor and delivery unit are expecting babies in a few months.
Maine Medical Center put up a Facebook post about this, which had eight nurses out of the nine posing with their baby bumps. The expected delivery date for all the babies is from April to July.
These nurses, who were soon to be mothers, were shown support from other hospital nurses, like The Portland hospital. Nurses from such hospitals posted pictures holding cards denoting the due dates and wearing the hospital scrubs.
The cards were mainly of the colors blue and pink, along with one green card and two yellows.
The nurses much required this support during their pregnancies. They even planned on being together on each other’s delivery dates.
One of the nurses, Erin Grenier, said it aptly when she exclaimed that she was happier every time she got the news of a pregnancy.
This not only promotes a sense of unity but also shows the affection and love they have for each other. She further added to the conversation that the compassion all the nurses had for each other, really helped them go through the day being a patient.
Since they were nurses, they knew all about the process of the baby forming inside them and the precautions for a safe growth. Some of them, like registered nurse Rachel Stellmach, are giving birth to their fourth baby.
She further said in an interview that this being the fourth time she conceived, she felt like a pro and had a great time troubleshooting questions and answers with the others.
These nurses are so close to each other that they think their children are going to be best friends as well, and watch each other’s babies grow through every stage of life.
However, there were some questions about who is going to take charge of the shifts of nine nurses when they are on maternity leave from the hospital since all nine of them are registered, nurses.
This has been an important discussion as the hospital’s functionality could be compromised.
However, the hospital replied that they have taken care of this problem and are fully prepared to cover the shifts of these nine nurses when they are on maternity leave.
