In recent news, a sex offender continues to be out and about in public for almost a week while he was awaiting for his trial.
William Fernandez, 24, had been released from prison as a mistake, and is now wandering around West London with no consequences. On the mistake that had been declared, the police are asking for help in order to locate him – to which they have acquired video footage from the Oxford Circus tube station. It was recorded on the night they released him.
He had been labeled as a sexual suspect by touching and indecent exposure in public alongside a conviction for possessing a class B drug back in April.
Wormwood Scrubs jail, located in west London, informed police that he had been released in error on the night of March 24th. Police continued to search around the area, but have failed to find him.
Right after the man had been released, he used the public transportation in order to maintain a large distance from the prison, presumably heading north. This is all the information they could obtain, since no one could find him soon after.
If people recognize the suspect, police pleads for citizens to call them instead of interacting with him, to limit their contact with the suspected perpetrator.
An extensive operation has been released to find Fernandez, placing him in prison once found. There are now searches being down on CCTV analysis, alongside house to house inquiries in a handful of destinations in order to locate the man.
There are new images of the man caught on CCTV, showing the suspect grinning after he had been released. His whereabouts are only known to be in the west London area, yet public transportation now opens up the location in other areas that need to be investigated.
The leader of the search urges citizens to contact them immediately, since they will be of help in assisting their investigations.
