A young boy surprised a patrolling officer with Easter dinner.
The officer was so overwhelmed with the boy’s kindness that he came back to thank him.
Officer E. Beganovic of Newport News, Virginia, was patrolling and a young man named Jeremiah came and said, “I noticed you guys are on patrol and wanted to bring you some Easter dinner.”
He had a plate of food filled with ham, chicken, mac and cheese, lima beans and rice.
Yesterday, Officer E. Beganovic was on patrol when he was stopped by a young man who wanted to spread some Easter love….

Officer Beganovic said that his heart was full after Jeremiah’s kind act.
Newport News Police Department posted pictures of the officer with Jeremiah on facebook and wrote, Yesterday, Officer E. Beganovic was on patrol when he was stopped by a young man who wanted to spread some Easter love. Here’s what Officer Beganovic had to say about meeting Jeremiah:
“My heart is full!! Meet Jeremiah who saw myself and my partner patrolling his neighborhood and came up to us and stated: “I noticed you guys are on patrol and wanted to bring you some Easter dinner”!! This is an elementary school student and I am so touched by him!! You made my day Jeremiah!! You are going to grow up and become an amazing man!!”
Jeremiah said he gave Beganovic the food because his mom told him to be nice with people.
“When you do nice things for other people, good things will come back and happen to you,” his mom said to him.
“That chance encounter has grown into a beautiful friendship,” the Newport News Police Department said in a Facebook post.

The officer decided to surprise Jeremiah and reached his school to give Chick-Fil-A to all of the kids in his class. Jeremiah was very delighted to see the officer at his elementary school.
“Officer Beganovic stopped by Jeremiah’s school and delivered Chick-Fil-A to all of the kids in his class,” the Newport News Police Department wrote.
He also visited Jeremiah’s home to hand deliver a note to his mom, thanking her for teaching good manners to her son.
“He touched my heart,” Beganovic told WVEC.
