Sunbathing is definitely not allowed during the lockdown situation so when a police officer noticed a lady relaxing on a deserted French beach, he knew he had to warn her.
But what followed next was a bit unexpected for him.
A video posted on social media this Sunday showed the policeman getting to the rule-breaker “woman” on Carnon beach, near Montpellier city in Southern France’s Herault department.
The policeman was probably getting ready to impose a fine on the unabashed woman but there was a surprise for him instead.
However, as the officer got closer to the target, he was unsurprisingly confused on realizing that what he took for a sunbathing woman was, in fact, an abandoned blow-up doll.
The cop was then seen in the video stopping to re-assess the options he had according to the new situation. Issuing a fine was definitely off the list of options.
The officer than stamped all over the doll and carried it off the beach in a brutal way, brutal if it were actually a person.
It hasn’t yet been found out how did the doll end up there. Most probably, it was the act of some hidden prankster.
Thankfully, the cops decided to take the whole episode on a lighter note and wrote on their Twitter: “The gendarmes rescued a doll that was abandoned by its owner.”
The whole action was caught on camera by Jane Kozlowski who was shooting a video for a documentary from her home near the beach.
She can also be heard speaking in the background of the video. Jane posted the video on Facebook where it was warmly welcomed by above half a million views.
Jane said: “I am currently making a documentary about living in isolation during the coronavirus lockdown. I have just finished my first film in a series.
“Every day I film the sea, the horizon, the beach, my neighbors. I live here, my terrace gives straight onto the beach.
“When I got up, I saw this parasol on the beach with this ‘woman’ under it. I found that what this woman was doing was very daring, because the police patrol all day long, with their helicopter, on foot or in a boat.
“After about three hours, I decided to start filming her. I have a HD camera for my work, so I zoomed in to see her up close and then it suddenly hit me that it was a blow up doll.
“It wasn’t long before the cops showed up. It fills my heart to have made so many people laugh, especially during these strange times.”
