Have you ever heard of the kangaroo care?
It’s a method of holding a baby that involves skin-to-skin contact.
By placing the baby in an upright position against a parent’s bare chest, researchers found that babies’ conditions dramatically improved. Some of the benefits of kangaroo care for the baby include improved breathing pattern and stabilization of the baby’s heart rate.
If you don’t believe that this method is really effective, Kate and David Ogg’s story will definitely change your mind.

When Kate and David first found out that she was pregnant, the couple was so excited to start a family.
The couple were especially happy, since they had been struggling to get pregnant. On top of this, Kate was pregnant with twins! You can probably guess just how emotional they were when they got the news.

However, their happiness didn’t seem to last for long. The twins, Jamie and Emily, were born prematurely at only six-and-a-half months.
Following their birth, nurses told the parents the most devastating news: Jamie, their son, did not survive.
But, both Kate and David refused to say good-bye without doing anything.
Kate asked to hold him, and had David to join her in bed, so that they could both have some skin-to-skin-time with Jamie.
It was something similar to the Kangaroo care.
You won’t believe what happened next.

As the video shows, this little boy started to breathe on its own, and even started moving.
As soon as the parents felt Jamie move, they immediately called the hospital staff into the room.
With the help of the parents and the hospital staff, Jamie miraculously came back to life!
Watch the video, and you will realize that the power of the parents’ touch is unbelievable.
