A vile photo depicting the rape of climate activist Greta Thunberg has sparked outrage after employees of a Canadian oil company circulated helmet decal with the sick cartoon.

X-Site Energy Services’ logo bears the sticker that shows a silhouette of a woman marked ‘Greta.’ The company denied circulating the photo on social media but didn’t deny making the sticker.

When general manager Doug Sparrow was asked whether he was comfortable with a depiction of rape, he was more concerned with arguing that the teen is not a child.

The 17-year-old activist slammed the photo after it started circulating on social media. She said to her Twitter followers that it was a sign of panic in the oil industry after she encouraged other people to protest.

“They are starting to get more and more desperate… This shows that we’re winning,” Greta wrote.

Michelle Narang, Rocky Mountain House Councillor, said to Global News that Sparrow offered a dismissive defense of the photo.

“His response when I asked him if he was aware that there are stickers circulating with his logo depicting the rape of Greta Thunberg. He said yes, that he is aware,” she shared.

“And I said, ‘So you are fine with an image that your company condones the rape of children?’ And he said, ‘She is not a child, she is 17.’”

Authorities are not doing any investigation as they believe there was no crime committed.

Sparrow also said that the photo wasn’t shared by the company but X-Site was only tagged in a social media post.

One internet user commented: “Not a supporter of her but she’s a child. Those workers would be fired. Disgusting and childish. Not the way to express their opinions.”

Another wrote: “Child or no, is rape funny? Dear god…”

A third added: “You don’t have to agree with Greta’s views but to promote a vile message like that is unexplainable.”
