We all wish to have a partner we can love and grow old with and live as long as we can with all the happiness in the world.
For most of us, death comes early or the separation even when we are still alive. But there are a few out there who are able to live a long life together with their happily ever after.
Talking about a long life, here is the oldest couple in the world where the husband is 106 and the wife is 105 and they are celebrating their 80th wedding anniversary together. Isn’t it marvelous?
And yes, they are the oldest living couple in the whole world. The couple who has a combined age of 211 years has been declared with the name of the world’s oldest living couple by Guinness Book of Records.
The news came out just a month prior when the couple from Texas are going to celebrate their 80th wedding anniversary as wife and Charlotte, 105, and husband John Henderson, 106, of Travis County got married on 15th December 80 years ago.
The couple got married in 1939, the time of the Great Depression.
Yes, the world has changed and people have changed too, the time has moved forward rapidly but the only thing remained the same was their love for each other.
The couple says that they met back in the year 1934 at the University of Texas as John was the guard of the football team and Charlotte was studying how to become a teacher.
John is also the longest living football player of the University of Texas and to show his respect, he attends at least one game every year as he has maintained the tradition for the past 84 years without a miss.
