North Korea is working on rebuilding “Sohae Launch Facility, as stated by several sources and a few pictures that speaks the same.
The facility has been used in the past to launch satellites and rockets in the space but their is no specific news about North Korea using it in the near future as of now.
Sohae Launch facility is presently the only operational launching pad in the country. Many satellites launches have taken place here that works on the exact same technique that an inter continent ballistic missiles would use.
The analytic who made the discovery said “This rebuilding activity is taking place just 2 days after the Hanoi Summit that came out with no conclusion between the president of the United States of America Mr. Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea.
This could be an indication of North Korea’s preparation to resolve the rejection in the face of US of the demand that North Korea presented. The demand presented in the summit was to lift 5 U.N. Security Council sanctions that were enacted in 2016-2017.”
There is no spacecraft or a missile visible as off now but the rebuilding is definitely happening. Probably the preparations look of a test.
Multiple tests have already been performed on the launch pad and it does not looks like the rebuilding is any kind of development work. It is either a preparation for a missile launch or they want to show that the world that North Korea has the capability and the capacity to built a missile and launch it too.
