Usually seen walking the red carpet alone, Oprah Winfrey appeared with her boyfriend of 33 years Stedman Graham on the opening ceremony of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
The celebrity couple didn’t only allow people to snap their photos but also posed for a traditional prom photo to delight their fans.
The legendary talk show host looked smart in her long dark blue dress with full sleeves. She wore a black heel to complement the dress and had a matching clutch to top it off.
For jewelry, the TV queen had a couple of extra-large earrings. She had her hair done neat and down, and wore a round frame of glasses to give a mature look.
Stedman wore a graceful black suit with a pair of nice and shiny dress shoes.
A few months before, Stedman said on The Ellen Show that he loves how his partner has been such a mammoth success.
He said: “The thing about our relationship is I want the best for her.
“So, I’m dedicated to her happiness, and so, that’s great for her, I want her to be the best she can possibly be, and she’s done a pretty good job of doing that.
“So, for me, I’ve been able to find my own happiness and to find my own skills, my own talents, my own abilities, and I’m satisfied with that. I’m happy with that.
“The combination – when you have a partner that’s able to self-actualize their potential, and you’re able to self-actualize yours, then you know, one, and one equals about six.”
Speaking of the nature of their relationship, Oprah told Vogue in 2017 that they didn’t plan on getting married.
She said: “Nobody believes it, but it’s true, the only time I brought it up was when I said to Stedman, ‘What would have happened if we had actually gotten married?’
“And the answer is: ‘We wouldn’t be together.’ We would not have stayed together, because marriage requires a different way of being in this world.”
Countless big names from Hollywood showed up to the gala, including Tiffany Haddish, Halle Berry and Beyonce.
“I think it’s pivotal in everything that we’ve done, everything that we’re doing still, that we continue to try to motivate and inspire people,” Perry said while shaking the hands of his guests.
The studio launch saw some of the most famous faces of the world dressed to perfection as they appeared for the opening ceremony.
Beyoncé appeared in a golden dress and boasted the photos on her social media accounts.
39-year-old Haddish didn’t let the opportunity of showing her gorgeous legs go. To complement her slender legs, she wore a stylish cowl neck metallic gown, having a revealing slit at the front.
The silver and black color combination looked really nice on her. She topped the look with silvery Marry Janes, and with her hair done in a nifty bob.
Oscar-winning actress Berry was also a part of the party. Berry appeared in all-black tuxedo, an attractive low-cut vest, a fabulous fedora and flared pants.
Whoopi Goldberg appeared dressed in a buttoned-down maxi, a white pendant and paint-speckled shoes.
The newly built Tyler Perry Studios, once an army base, spans a whopping 330 acres.
Speaking of Perry, Oprah said: “He didn’t wait for other people to validate or to say you should go this way or that way. He said I’m going to create my own way and as we can see here, become a force for himself.”
