Not very long ago, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps said: “You can’t put a limit on anything.

The more you dream, the farther you get.”

Now it looks like he might have said that keeping Oreo’s latest cookies in mind.

The new cookies will feature three layers of creme in the patriotic colors i.e. red blue and white.

In a statement given by the cookie manufacturer to PEOPLE, the folks at the company confirmed that they are releasing a special edition of biscuits.

The special edition cookies will be available for purchase before the start of the upcoming Olympics.

Oreo, which is one of the proud sponsors of Team USA, will introduce the new cookies this summer. However, it looks like the company has even more surprises for the fans.

A spokesperson from the company said: “Oreo will have even more for fans to enjoy ahead of the 2020 Games.”

We need to remain in touch with Oreo’s press releases and updates to make sure we don’t miss out on anything.

First to spot the Team USA cookies was someone going by the alias @junkfoodleaks_ on Instagram who made the point that the three layers of colored creme in the cookies were the same as they are in the Mega Stuff Oreos.

The person wrote: “Olympic Oreos are standard, and have as much creme/calories as a mega stuff oreo, so nothing too groundbreaking — though your tongue might change colors with this one.”

Internet users, like always, added their own fantasies to the idea of Team USA cookies.

Someone commented: “Olympic Oreos could had used golden cookies DUH! To represent gold medals and maybe flavor the creams blueberry & cherry?”

While another wrote: “Lol The Red/Blue/White remind me of toothpaste.”

However, in any case, we’ll have to wait another couple of months to get our hands on the Team USA cookies.
