A tiny Koala baby that fell out of the tree had a tragic start to its life but thanks to the Australian Zoo that saved the baby.
The Koala Joey will still have a chance at life.
As per told by Australia’s Werribee Zoo, the little Koala joey was brought to the zoo months back with a broken limb as the baby had fallen out of a tree in an area that was open to a plantation.
The joey is now grown up a little and is 7 months old.
While a wildlife rescue worker had rescued both the Koala joey and the mother and brought them to the zoo, the mother could not make it because of her condition.
She was very sick when she was brought to the zoo and even after the treatment, she could not make it.
This is how the joey was left orphan and when the baby should have been inside his mother’s pouch he was out, undernourished in human care.
The baby was not in great condition either as the vets at the zoo had to work hard to take care of him because he was tiny and had a broken limb as well.
Jess Rice, a nurse working with the Werribee zoo said “The baby was very tiny when it was brought here and we were scared for it a little.
In most cases, the joeys that are orphaned at such a young age do not make it but this one turned out to be really strong. It was at the age when it would have just started to take its head out of the mother’s pouch.”
The joey is in good care right now, and he is recovering fine. He is in a happy environment and growing well.
