If you’re a hot dog lover, you should know that you can now live inside a hot dog.
Oscar Mayer has made it possible for hot dog freaks to spend a night inside a gargantuan hot dog by renting one of the famous Wienermobiles at Airbnb.
The 27-foot hot dog theme car has got a totally new look to be the dream house for a sausage fan.
The inside has got bright yellow walls, a pillow on the couch says “I’m Just Here for the Hot Dogs,” and the mugs are shaped to look more like frankfurters than just mugs.
The couches can be folded out into a bed, and a sunroof directly above it makes the experience even more enjoying.
To facilitate the guests as much as possible, the Wienermobile has a small refrigerator, containing the essential ingredients of Chicago-style hot dogs.
Other amenities include a roller grill (which the guests can take home) and a Wienermobile-inspired art piece designed by Laura Kiro, a local artist.
At the start of the ride in the Wienermobile, the guests receive a “Sun’s Out, Buns Out” welcome along with hot dog fashioned clothing.
Renting the Wienermobile for a night will cost $136. Hot dog fans will be able to rent the vehicle for one-night stays in Chicago.
The first 3 days of August will be concurrent with Lollapalooza music festival – and things can’t get any better.
The Wienermobile is spacious enough to house two adults and the ride will be hosted by designated drivers “Jake N’ Bacon” and “AlexanDog.”
“We’ve been driving a 27-foot-long hot dog around the country for the past couple of months,” the drivers said on the Airbnb listing.
“While traveling the hot dog highways we’ve seen some franktastic places and met some bunderful people.
“So, we’ve decided to share the love by renovating America’s favorite hot dog on wheels and turning it into a Wienermobile you can stay in overnight for the first time ever.”
Associate director of marketing at Oscar Mayer, Matt Riezman, told Insider: “At Oscar Mayer, we’re passionate about giving our fans the highest quality, best tasting hot dogs out there, We also know there are few things more synonymous with summer than hot dogs.
“We can’t think of a better way to celebrate National Hot Dog Day than to give hot dog fans what they’ve been craving, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay inside the most iconic hot dog out there by listing it on Airbnb.”
The Wienermobile was originally created by Oscar Mayer’s nephew in 1936.
It didn’t hit the road very much due to fuel rationing during the second world war, but a number of them have been seen on the roads in the post-WWII era.
As of now, Oscar Mayer has commissioned a variety of Wienervehicles, with WienerRover, WienerCycle, and WienerDrone being the prominent ones.
This is the first case of a Wienermobile being open to the public, so make sure you don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
