In 2016, the comedian was about to play Barbie in the live-action film but decided to drop out, citing scheduling conflicts, creative differences and ‘no feminist edge.’

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Schumer said: “They definitely didn’t want to do it the way I wanted to do it, the only way I was interested in doing it.”

Schumer revealed that her version of Barbie was an ambitious inventor who created a Jell-O high hell.

“The idea that that’s just what every woman must want, right there,” she said of the footwear. “I should have hone, ‘You’ve got the wrong gal.’”
