Barry Manilow is leaving his fans confused with his youthful appearance as he is turning 80 in a few days.
The legendary singer, who has sold over 85 million records worldwide and has 13 platinum and six multi-platinum selling albums, looked young in his multicolor blazer when he attended the Tony Awards.
In addition to his impressive talent in music, it seems like he also found the fountain of youth.
Fans were quick to take to Twitter to compliment Manilow, who has skin that many want to achieve.
“Who else just googled to see how old is Barry Manilow? Spoiler alert.. he turns 80 this week!” one person tweeted.
“It’s Barry Manilow. He looks great,” another said.
The singer recently appeared on This Morning where he shared his secret: “Just luck! It’s just blind luck. I’m very old, let’s not talk about it – it’s just very depressing.”
He continued: “I think of people who are 80… they look older than I do. They’re retired. You know, that ain’t me. I’m just getting started. I’ve always got the next one.”
Manilow was born in New York in 1943. In the early ‘70s, he met Bette Midler, who hired him as a musical director and pianist. His music career took a significant turn since then.
In 1973. He released his album ‘Barry Manilow’ which featured the hit track ‘Mandy.’
The singer has received Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, and a Tony Award for his contribution to music.
In an interview with PEOPLE, the singer said that he ‘doesn’t like to sit around’ and has constantly got a project on the go.
“Well, I don’t like sitting around watching television. I mean, I’m just one of the lucky guys that always has something. I’ve got two albums that I’m working on, then Radio City, and it just goes on and on and on.
“I think by keeping working, you stay young, or at least you stay vibrant and your brain is always working. And that’s me — I’ve always got something going on.”
