Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s fans were left heartbroken as the Batman star did not let his wife feature their love letters in her new movie The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
Meanwhile, fans of his ex-wife Jennifer Garner were left furious after it was revealed that Affleck held onto the love letters during their marriage.
When he reunited with the On The Floor hitmaker in 2021, he reportedly had the letters and emails bound into a book and gave it to her.
Sources have now shut down claims that Garner was left shocked by Affleck’s admission and insisted that she is happy for the couple.
An insider told Daily Mail: “Ben would love for the outside world not to know about his love letters, but he is a romantic, and as much as he loved Jennifer, he never got over JLo.
“Ben keeps his memories, whether it is from movies he worked on or family and relationship moments, he always has what the kids call “receipts.”
The source also insisted that Garner was okay with it and that no one was shocked by the news that Affleck kept his love letters.
Another source also explained that Lopez and Garner have become friends.
“To think that there is any bad feelings on Jennifer’s part about Ben holding onto JLo’s letters is just ridiculous,” the source continued, adding that Garner has already moved on with John Miller and they have a blended family.
“Jennifer knew going into her marriage how Ben felt about JLo and it was not a secret,” the insider went on.
“JLo and Jen have a lot of respect for each other and Jennifer has told JLo how happy she is that she has come back into Ben’s life because she can actually keep him in check. JLo refuses to let him slip into his old ways.”
