A teenage girl slammed the alleged professional baker that charged her a small fortune for a cake that looks like it was made by a total amateur.

Ellie from Australia was preparing for her 18th birthday party when she came across a photo of a cake that she really liked and decided to have something similar done for her own bash.

After showing the design she’d picked to a “professional baker” who agreed to make her cake, Ellie patiently waited to pick up the dessert on the day of her party.

When she saw the final work, however, the teenager was left gob-smacked. She explained that the cake looked horrible and nothing like the one in the inspiration photo she had sent to the baker.

The cake was allegedly covered in “dead flowers” and icing resembling melting candle wax.

Recalling the botched baking project, Ellie posted a photo of her 18th birthday cake on Facebook and explained she suspected something was off after the baker “couldn’t remember” what her request involved even though she had sent them her chosen design three times.

“This was a professional baker and I had to send in the inspiration picture three times as they couldn’t remember what I had wanted,” the 18-year-old wrote.

She also admitted that she has since got a full refund after complaining to the baker about the botched design.

Soon enough, photos of the cake went viral and social media users couldn’t believe the dessert was actually done by a professional baker.

“There’s no way the baker looked at this and said ‘this is fine,’” someone wrote.

“She definitely dropped the cake, picked it up and gave it to you,” another said.

A third suggested: “I’m no professional but my cakes still look much better than this.”
