Bleached eyebrows appear to be one of the latest and most popular beauty trends sweeping across the globe.
While the so-called 90s brows, also known as skinny brows, took over the world of fashion and beauty decades ago, a new beauty trend revolving around eyebrows has now made its presence known.
The ‘no eyebrows’ trend has taken the globe by surprise after a series of high-profile celebrities bleached their brows to make them ‘invisible’ to the human eye and achieve a futuristic look.
Among celebrities at the helm of the trend are the likes of Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Nicola Peltz, Julia Fox, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and countless others.
Madonna, too, seems to be unable to resist the new fashion statement after showing off her bleached brows in her recent photos.
As beauty and makeup expert Lisa Little explained, women are after the new look because it helps them bring other facial features to light and make them look more futuristic.
“The new eyebrow trend – or shall I say ‘no eyebrow’ trend – is one that splits opinion. I feel it’s very much a reference to the 90’s brow, but taking it a step further,” Little told FEMAIL.
“Having no eyebrow makes some of our other facial features more prominent and flattering with a twist of futuristic about it.”
The beauty expert, however, admitted that eyebrows frame our faces which is why she isn’t a fan of the procedure that makes women look “too severe and unfinished.”
“But if you do want to give it a shot, perhaps stick to the concealer and clear gel rather than reaching out for permanent bleach! It’s a drastic move and one that makes a big statement,” she added.
“To brow or not to brow… that is the question!”
