A bride has been branded a bridezilla after ordering her bridesmaid to dye her hair because she thought her look was unsightly.

A UK-based bride recently sparked fury on Facebook after joining a wedding planning group in hopes of getting some support ahead of her big day.

In her controversial post, the bride explained that she wanted her bridesmaid, who is her close friend, to dye her greying hair before the wedding saying the woman’s hair looked “unsightly.”

“Today we met up for our monthly meeting to go over the agenda and order of the day. I noticed when my bridesmaid turned her head that she’s got quite a number of grey hairs,” she wrote before adding that she asked her friend to dye her hair in time for her wedding.

“She refused and said hairdresser appointments are too expensive and she’s allergic to box dye.”

The bride continued: “It’s really unsightly and I’m worried it’s going to take away from the beauty of the dress I chose for her. Any tips on what I can do? I can’t pay for her hair appointment as I’ve exhausted my bridesmaid budget now.”

The young lady in question also insisted that she couldn’t stop worrying about her bridesmaid’s grey hair as she pointed out she only had ten weeks left to ‘fix’ the issue.

After the post went viral on Facebook, the topic quickly ended up on Reddit’s wedding shaming forum where outraged viewers took a jab at the bride and suggested she went over the line with her unreasonable demands.

“I’ve had gray hairs since I was 19. Also, I guarantee no one at the wedding will even notice, let alone comment,” someone wrote.

“Shaming someone for gray hairs, like honestly, no one cares! How awful. And monthly meetings??? Wtf??” another said.

A third suggested: “I’ll never understand why getting married gives people the idea that it is ok to act this way.”
