A woman was left in tears after realizing that she wasted a small fortune on dozens of guests who never showed up at her wedding.
18-year-old Gray Narvaez-Dragion, who uses they/them pronouns, was left devastated on their big day after only 40 out of 88 guests who RSVP’d showed up on their wedding day.
“88 people said yes… not even 40 showed up,” Gray wrote after tying the knot with Nyx.
The teenager also shared several photos showing a bunch of empty tables and chairs that were supposed to be occupied by the wedding guests who promised to attend the event.
Following the ceremony, Gray revealed that they wasted tens of thousands of dollars on extra food, service, performers, and a bigger venue thanks to the 48 people who never showed up at the wedding.
The clip has since gone viral and racked up millions of views with people telling Gray that they were right to be mad at their inconsiderate guests.
“Happened to my sister. We set the room for 80 and not even 30 came. We made the best of it but damn. I would never do that to someone,” someone sympathized.
“If you can’t make it to a wedding TELL THE HOSTS – it’s ok! They will save money with their caterer if you give notice! Don’t lie!” another suggested.
In the comment section, Gray also explained that their ceremony made them happy but that they couldn’t help but look at the empty chairs and tables and feel “heartbroken” over the issue.
After the wedding was cut short, Nyx and Gray allegedly sat “in the empty ceremony room together and cried.”
Meanwhile, viewers urged the couple to keep the spreadsheet as a reminder of people who couldn’t be trusted in the future.
