Britney Spears’ estranged father, Jamie, was spotted for the first time since he had his leg amputated after suffering a serious infection.
The father-of-three was pictured sitting in a wheelchair as he made his way to his vehicle.
A source close to the Toxic hitmaker told Daily Mail that she has no plans on trying to heal their fractured relationship.
The insider revealed: “There is no chance, ever, that Britney will reconcile with her dad. He hurt her in ways not imaginable and, regardless of what happens to his health, she will never forgive the man, dead or alive.
“The only reason that Britney included this photo is that she loved the picture with her son. It had nothing to do with her dad, or his health issues.”
Britney shared how she suffered at the hands of her father in her book The Woman in Me, claiming he only saw her as nothing more than his ‘cash flow’ and that he had all of her movements monitored.
She also claimed in her book that Jamie threatened her with court if she failed to agree to another stint in rehab.
In court documents, former special agent Sherine Ebadi accused the father of financial mismanagement and diversion of resources.
Jamie also allegedly paid himself $6 million during the conservatorship.
In her memoir, Britney described her estranged father as ‘mean, apathetic, and cold,’ and recalled being ‘scared in her home’ as a child.
The conservatorship lasted for 13 years and even though Britney seemed happy on the outside, the world eventually realized that she was desperate to get away from her father’s control.
Fans prompted the #FreeBritney movement and Britney’s court battle against Jamie started.
