Cher has marked her 77th birthday with her thoughts about aging and fans couldn’t stop praising the ageless diva.
Taking to Twitter, the ‘goddess of vocals’ thinks the concept of age does not make any sense as she wrote: “Ok, Will Someone PLEASE Tell me…. When Will I Feel OLD?
“This is ridiculous. I keep hearing these numbers, but I Honestly can’t understand them. WHATS THE DEAL With #’s?”
The birthday girl continued: “I’m dyslexic & #’s Are hard 4 me. Thank u for staying, I know it’s been hard. Got to go work out. Twitter is harder for me than TweetBot.”
Fans also couldn’t believe that the singer is only three years away from her 80th birthday.
“You are timeless and eternal! We (love) you, beautiful @cher!!” one fan wrote.
“Age is a number. When you open your heart (like I know you do) we are ageless. The spirit hasn’t got an age,” another said.
“Celebrate your day!! So many times we take life for granted without realizing how truly short it actually is. How wonderful to wake up and say I made it through another year and be grateful you are loved and can love others no matter how ‘old’ you are. Happy birthday young lady!” a third commented.
Back in 2008, Cher said in an interview that ‘aging in show business sucks.’ Tina Turner, who is seven years older, then said: “That number doesn’t mean a thing. It just doesn’t.”
While most people her age are enjoying retirement, the singer revealed that she’s making two albums with her ex-boyfriend Alexander Edwards.
In an interview with E! News in March, she said: “I’m going to England to make two albums. Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that. He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that.
