Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year and the third time in five seasons.
For the first time in almost 20 years, the NFL has a repeat champion. The Chiefs just cemented its status as the game’s new dynasty with a 25-22 overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium.
The Chiefs initially looked distraught after having a difficult start with 10-3 at halftime, with Kelce being caught on camera shoving his 65-year-old coach, Andy Reid, after he was taken out of a play.
At the interval, the Chiefs trailed by 7 but ended the third quarter in the lead after Marquez Baldes-Scantling got the first TD for the Kansas City.
The 49ers was leading early in the fourth quarter until Harrison Butker managed to tie it up at 16-16 with his field goal. By the end of the fourth quarter, Butker got the team at 19-19.
Mahomes 3-yard TC pass to Hardman ended it at 25-22.
The impressive efforts earned Mahomes his third Super Bowl MVP trophy. He completed 34 of 46 passes for 333 yards with two TDs and one interception.
Swift, who made a 13-hour trip from Tokyo, served as cheer captain for Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. During the first quarter, she was seen nervously swaying while watching the game as the team was still scoreless.
During the pre-game performances, Swift and her friend Blake Lively were seen embracing each other while swaying to Post Malone’s performance of ‘America The Beautiful.’
Following the Chiefs’ victory, Swift danced and celebrated with others in the suite.
After the presentation of the trophy, Kelce and Swift kissed and shared a long embrace on the field.
