Many people are accusing Bud Light and parent company Anheuser-Busch of ‘going woke’ after using the social media influencer, who was seen dressed as Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn while enjoying a can of Bud Light beer in the new promotional video.

The content creator’s post received vile messages from trolls, with many saying they would never buy any Anheuser-Busch products ever again.

Travis Tritt and Kid Rock have also expressed their displeasure after the partnership, and now Gilbert has seemed to do something similar.

In a viral video of his performance at Indian Mountain ATV Park in Alabama, he can be seen smashing a Bud Light can that was tossed on stage.

The clip, which was shared by Turning Point U.S.A. official Benny Johnson, shows the country music star picking up the can that somebody had thrown on stage. He then forcefully threw it onto the floor and caused it to explode.

Gilbert gave up drinking alcohol many years ago so it could have been showing his dislike at being given an alcoholic drink.

But people assumed that the singer destroyed the can because of the brand’s partnership with Mulvaney.

One Twitter user commented: “Brantley Gilbert spiked a can of Bud Light on stage when a fan tossed one to him. THAT’S how you treat woke brands. Destroy them.”

Another wrote: “Brantley Gilbert reaction to someone throwing him a bud light… Go woke go broke.”

Many pointed out the irony of a Bud Light can being smashed while a song originally played by Freddie Mercury was playing in the background.

“Ironic they’re covering Queen,” one person wrote.

“I wonder if they know they’re playing a song from a band famous for having one of the most queer musicians in history,” another said.
