A Christian couple has come under fire after revealing they have never even kissed despite being together for two years.
As 22-year-old Kaytlin O’Neall of Texas revealed, she and her boyfriend, Drew, are waiting for the perfect moment before sealing their lips together for the first time.
According to the young lady, she and her boyfriend of two years are both willing to wait until they get married before sharing the special moment.
She also insisted that the pair has a “balanced, healthy, and loving relationship” thanks to the lack of physical expression of love.
Kaytlin first opened up about her unusual relationship with Drew on TikTok where her videos racked up millions of views and drew lots of praise and criticism at the same time.
“You know you can just kiss, it’s not the end of the world,” one person wrote in response to the 22-year-old’s revelation.
“That must take some self control,” another suggested.
“He must be gay,” the third wrote.
One viewer said: “You’re just glorified friends then.”
Hitting back at her critics, Kaytlin came up with a follow-up video in which she explained she understands that kissing her boyfriend would not make her impure or result in her going to hell.
However, she doubled down on her stance saying she is doing what she believes is best for her and her relationship.
“The bible is not very clear cut on what to do and what not to do with little tiny details – especially in relationships,” Kaytlin said.
“Obviously, the bible is very clear on not to have s*x outside of marriage, but as far as other little details go – like kissing, holding hands, all that stuff – there’s not a clear cut rule book.
“I feel like conviction is a very big factor in relationships and other little details of our lives. I think if we can follow our convictions than we will always stay within the realm of where the lord is wanting us to be and wanting to lead us.”
The 22-year-old also explained she wants to refrain from kissing her partner until they’re married because it is “such an intimate thing.”
“A lot of people don’t view it that way but for me personally, I felt like that wasn’t something I had to save, but something I wanted to. I wanted to save that for him, I wanted to save everything for him,” she added.
“It’s not because my Christianity or my religion tells me I have to do it this way – I’m doing it because of my own personal convictions and because I want to do what’s best for me. And me and Drew want to do what’s best for one another.”
