The DoorDash driver in question, who goes under the handle @sidehustleaddict on TikTok, recorded himself rummaging through a food order and eating his customer’s fries.

“This DoorDash customer only tip $1. Let’s see what he got at Arby’s,” the man said in his video before digging into a large bag of goodies.

“It’s got beef and cheddar, it’s got the french dip and the crinkle fries. Oh man, that’s my favorite. Thank you $1 tipper,” he added in a video that racked up one million views and thousands of comments.

After taking TikTok viewers by surprise, the man was inundated with comments. While some tried to see the funny side of his complaint, most viewers slammed him for stealing food.

“As a driver myself, I’m sickened by this action. I have often taken orders that indicate no tip or just $1 tip and then upon confirming drop-off noticed they added a tip or tipped more than the $1. Some ppl will wait until you drop the order off on time as instructed to add/add to the tip,” someone wrote.

“So I’m a delivery driver and shopper and I’m shaking my head to this one we take this job knowing that we may not be tipped maybe that’s all they had!” another said.

A third argued: “If you can’t deliver a simple order then don’t accept it. It’s NO ONE’s responsibility to tip you. Record less and do more work to earn more money.”

Since the provocative video, the same man went on to post dozens of other videos in which he’s seen eating his alleged customers’ food and laughing at their low tips.

It is not clear if the man is still employed by DoorDash or if he was fired after the multiple incidents.
