Dolly Parton’s fans continue to beg the singer to perform at next year’s Super Bowl after her jaw-dropping thanksgiving performance.
The 77-year-old took to the field at AT&T Stadium and left viewers stunned as she performed crowd favorites, such as Queen’s ‘We Are the Champions,’ and ‘9 to 5.’
Most fans believe that the Jolene hitmaker was aging backwards as she was unstoppable during the show for the Commanders-Cowboys game in Dallas.
Delighted viewers and fans are now taking to social media to plead with the singer to consider performing at Super Bowl Halftime Show next year.
One person wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Dear @AppleMusic & @NFL, Who do I need to talk to get Dolly to play the Super Bowl next season? Please make it happen.”
Another wrote: “Dolly Parton PLEASE do the Super Bowl Half Time Show! You are amazing.”
According to reports, Parton has been asked numerous times to perform at the show but she has always turned it down.
But Parton has finally shared her reason why she always said no.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she explained: “I couldn’t do it because of other things, or I just didn’t think I was big enough to do it — to do that big of a production.
“When you think about those shows, those are big, big productions.
“I’ve never done anything with that big of a production. I don’t know if I could have. I think at the time that’s what I was thinking.”
In September, it was announced that Usher will perform the Halftime Show at Super Bowl LVIII next year. Fans are now hoping Parton changes her mind by 2025.
