A father was left stunned after accidentally ordering a giant dinosaur for his young son.
Andre Bisson from Guernsey couldn’t help but hit the ‘order’ button after spotting the statue of a Carnotaur – a giant prehistoric dino predator – on the internet.
The dad was in for a major surprise, however, upon realizing that the dinosaur was 20 feet long – more than twice the length he expected.
When the order arrived at his home, Andre had to arrange for a crane to lift the statue and drop it off in the garden.
“The only mistake was me assuming he was 3-metres long but instead he is six!” the man explained, FEMAIL reported.
He went on to explain that he got the statue for a bargain amount of just over $1,000 from a theme park that was selling old stock. He also said he only realized his mistake after the delivery company called him to say the dino wouldn’t fit in their usual means of transportation.
“When I saw the size of him I just laughed and went and bought a heavy duty chain to make a leash. Theo was simply over the moon,” Andre added.
“[The theme park] was selling off everything on a website and there were no details, no-one to ask, just a thumbnail photo.”
Fortunately, Andre’s son Theo didn’t see any issues with the new addition to his family. On the contrary, he was ecstatic about the Carnotaur the moment he laid his eyes on it.
“I had a look and I couldn’t believe it when I saw there was a Carnotaur. I immediately contacted them to secure payment. I just had to get it,” Andre added as he recalled the decision to purchase the statue.
