An experienced flight attendant has opened up about her job and revealed what type of passengers the crew hates more than anyone else.

US-based Kat Kamalani is a former airline stewardess and a mother-of-two who went viral after revealing the type of fliers most hated by airline crews in her TikTok video.

As the young lady explained in her viral clip, screaming babies are far from the worst passengers there can be even though they get on many people’s nerves, especially during long flights.

According to Kamalani, the staff despises no one more than passengers who complain about screaming babies and therefore put not only the crew but also the baby’s parents in an awkward situation.

“I promise you, there’s nothing that irritates us more as a flight attendant when people complain about a baby crying,” she said.

“DON’T even ask to be moved to a different seat, no one wants that baby to stop crying more than that parent. So if you’re travelling, bring noise-cancelling headphones, or maybe ask the parent if they need help.”

After the video went viral, thousands of frequent fliers spoke out and agreed with the mom-of-two while blasting people who complain about crying on planes.

“I had a flight attendant tell me ‘let her cry, you won’t see these people again anyways.’ It helped me so much,” one parent recalled.

“I once spent a 1.5-hour flight playing with a fussy baby with a 1/2 empty water bottle while their Momma napped. Kept baby happy,” another passenger said.

One flight attendant also backed Kat’s thoughts saying: “I am a flight attendant and I get really mad when passengers complain to me about the crying baby… like what do you want me to do?”

Kamalani also explained how it drives the crew crazy when passengers hit call buttons during landing or take-off because it puts the staff in danger.

“This drives flight attendants absolutely bonkers, and we usually won’t even come to it until it is safe,” she added.
