A groom has been slammed online over the “inappropriate” outfit he wore to his own wedding.
The photo of the groom in question was shared on a Facebook page where hundreds of people condemned the young man for dressing up in cowboy boots, denim shorts, a white shirt, and a cowboy hat while his bride wore an elegant white dress.
While the bride in the picture appears to be cheering and greeting her wedding guests enthusiastically, internet users were quick to point out several issues with the groom’s outfit.
“Scrolling from the top of this photo to the bottom made me feel like I was in a car accident,” one person joked.
“Sir, judging by the uneven raggedy edges, you took cut-offs literally. That is not a vibe or aesthetic to strive for at any time, let alone your wedding,” another said.
“So I thought it was jeans at first and was like, okay bad but not the worst. THEN I SAW F***ING KNEE CAPS,” the third wrote.
One baffled social media user suggested: “This must be a joke of some kind. I get the boots and hat but denim shorts? It’s supposed to be a wedding not a cowboy carnival!”
Despite the backlash, however, the man also received some support from like-minded individuals who believe he’s entitled to wear whatever he wants as long as both he and the bride like it.
“He’s not hurting anyone and the lady seems happy enough, let them be,” one person said.
Another added: “We don’t know the whole story and even if we did who are we to judge them as long as the bride and the groom are both happy?”
