The son of Harrison Ford has shared a photo of the young actor playing with a snake as he turns 81.
Ben Ford, a professional chef, took to Twitter and shared fun images of them to celebrate the Hollywood icon’s birthday.
Fans know that one of Ford’s famous characters, Indiana Jones, is not very fond of snakes and even hates those reptiles.
But in reality, the actor actually enjoyed playing with a snake.
“Contrary to popular belief, my dad does not hate snakes. Happy Birthday, Pops!” Ben wrote on Twitter.
While promoting his latest movie ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,’ Ford revealed that he was fascinated by rats and snakes as a kid.
In an interview with GQ, he said: “I have, actually, no fear of snakes. That’s acting.”
Ford continued: “Ironically, when I was an assistant counselor in the nature department of a Boy Scout camp in Wisconsin, I made it my mission to dig a reptile pit, which I filled with reptiles that I collected.
“And I got to know snakes on a first-hand basis.
“My parents were inefficient in curtailing my impulses: I raised black and white hooded rats. There were a great number of black and white rats running in my room and eventually my house and my neighborhood. I was a very successful rat raiser.”
Mark Hamill also wished the actor a happy birthday.
“For Harrison: [Love] from your pal forever,” he wrote alongside a photo of them embracing from when the Star Wars star received his star on the Walk of Fame in 2022.
In celebration of his big day, many fans have taken to social media to wish him a happy birthday.
“Happy birthday to actor Harrison Ford. Indiana Jones, Han Solo, Jack Ryan are just some of the iconic roles he has played throughout his legendary career,” one wrote.
“Happy birthday to the one and only Harrison Ford! May the Force be with you!” another said.
“Happy Birthday, Harrison Ford! Thank you sir for giving us so many great adventures with the greatest heroes!” a third added.
