Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have hit out at criticism of their family rebrand after they launched their new website that featured Meghan’s coat of arms.
Critics claim that the Duchess of Sussex’s coat of arms is a breach of their promise to the late Queen Elizabeth when they stepped down from their royal duties.
The couple also raised eyebrows when they changed their children’s surnames to Sussex, with many calling for the pair to have their titles removed.
But a representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hit back at claims that these were the last chances for the couple to gain back their fame and success.
“We’ve heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple.
“They’re still here. They’re still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticized.”
The representative added: “This couple will not be broken.”
Another source defended the couple and said: “Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact. It is their surname and family name.”
A source also told the Times that the couple’s children have been known as Archie Sussex and Lilibet Sussex, rather than Mountbatten-Windsor, since the King’s coronation.
But according to the Daily Mail, many sources said that the couple did not consult palace officials about using their Sussex titles.
Mail columnists Andrew Pierce and Sarah Vine believe Harry and Meghan should be stripped of their titles to prevent them from profiting off the Royal Family.
