A wife has shared how she was left devastated upon discovering that her husband has been cheating on her for years.
Sharing her story on Reddit, the 27-year-old woman explained that she and her partner had been together for ten years and they share three children.
“We’ve basically grown up together. We’re not legally married, but he did propose in 2018 right before we bought our house and we’ve called each other ‘wife’ and ‘husband’ ever since,” she wrote.
But she just found out about her partner’s ‘secret life’ after laying a trap uncover the truth.
The stay-at-home wife said that they had been going through difficult times lately and things only went worse when she received a message from a friend telling her that she had found her husband on Tinder.
“I made one of his favorite dinners and even made a pie, so he could go into a food coma and go to bed earlier. It worked, he was out by 8:30. I let my older kids stay up to watch a few movies so that bedtime was postponed while I snooped through his phone,” she continued.
The woman was left devastated by what she found. Her husband was texting three different girls and they had sent photos back and forth.
“I found texts that say he’s a single dad and ‘the mom’ doesn’t want anything to do with the kids. Pictures sent back and forth and when I thought that was it, I found the hidden pictures folder,” she went on.
The mom-of-three even found a video of her husband with another woman in the secret folder.
“I used my phone to take pictures and videos of everything and sent them to my email. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them yet, but I have them,” she said, adding that the video was taken only one month after she had given birth to their third child.
Thousands of people offered advice and support, with one person saying: ““Legal aid! Contact them, they have a ton of resources and can help. Know that so many people are rooting for you, and your success. Be strong, be methodical, this will be difficult, but you can do this.”
