‘My Husband Is FUMING And Calling Me Immature After I ‘Tricked’ Him Into Eating Two Plates Of Vegan Lasagna’

A married man asked the internet if he was the a**hole after tricking his partner into eating vegan lasagna.

The 43-year-old man in question revealed that he’s been a vegan for about a year while admitting that his husband, 48, loves to eat meat and potatoes-based meals.

He also insisted that he has grown worried about his partner’s health and that he tried to convince him to try out vegan dishes in the past.

“I have been vegan for about a year now and my husband is a meat-and-potatoes kind of person. He loves his steak and bacon and generally isn’t too interested in trying vegan options,” the man wrote.

“However, I’ve been trying to get him to at least consider eating more plant-based meals for the sake of his health. I get worried for him sometimes. I’ve been trying to cook healthy meals for him, encouraging him to exercise, and getting creative with the dishes I make, but my partner just doesn’t seem interested.”

Unamused by his partner’s response, the 43-year-old took matters into his own hands and decided to make a delicious vegan lasagna for his husband. Of course, he didn’t tell his husband that the lasagna was vegan until after the man finished two plates of it and called it delicious.

“To my surprise, my partner loved the lasagna and even asked for seconds. It wasn’t until after dinner that I let it slip that the dish was vegan and my partner was less than pleased,” the vegan added.

“I defended my decision by telling them that I’ve been worried for their health and I want them to be better, but my partner said it was very immature of me and I could’ve talked to him directly. Am I the a**hole?”

Soon enough, the man was flooded with responses, whereas both he and his partner were branded as a**holes.

“I fail to see how tricking him into eating something vegan is supposed to improve his health. Just because something is vegan it doesn’t make it healthier than non-vegan options. Oreos are vegan,” one person explained.

“Not all vegan food is healthy. Take French fries for example… And I’m pretty sure that lasagna was full of processed vegan cheese and other unhealthy stuff,” another said.

A third suggested: “You should both talk about it like adults and respect each other’s opinions whatever they may be.”
