Jennifer Aniston has opened up about her heartbreak after spending years trying to get pregnant but the ‘ship has sailed’.
The Friends star said ‘it was really hard’ after failed IVF attempts, adding she wishes someone has encouraged her to freeze her eggs.
“All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it,” she revealed.
The actress said she would have given anything if someone told her to freeze her eggs and do herself a favor.
She told Allure magazine: “You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”
Jennifer also talked about how she was slammed when rumors emerged that her marriage with actor Brad Pitt collapsed because she did not want to have children.
“I just cared about my career. And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child,” she went on.
“And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies. I don’t have anything to hide at this point,” Jennifer said.
Brad and Jen started dating in 1998 and got married two years later. But they surprised fans when they announced their split in 2005.
“I would say my late 30s, 40s, I’d gone through really hard s***, and if it wasn’t for going through that, I would’ve never become who I was meant to be,” she went on.
Jennifer also said that she is still grateful for the difficult times she experienced.
This comes after she was spotted having dinner with ex-husband Justin Theroux four years after they called it quits.
The dinner last month sparked rumors that they could be back together again.
Justin and Jennifer got married at a private ceremony on August 5, 2015, after being engaged for three years. But only two years later, they’ve decided to separate ways.
