Jonah Hill’s ex-girlfriend has revealed ‘misogynistic’ messages she claims were sent by the actor, outlining ‘relationship rules’ while they were dating for a year.
Sarah Brady took to social media and accused the actor of detailing relationship ‘rules’ to set boundaries in their relationship.
She also posted screenshots of a text the Superbad star allegedly sent her, in which he said that some of her photos on Instagram were inappropriate.
Brady also wrote: “If your partner is talking to you like this, make an exit plan. Call me if you need an ear.”
She claimed that the messages were from her ex asking her to delete surfing photos from her Instagram.
She also claims that she and Hill saw a couples therapist once a week for several months and revealed a discussion in which she asked the actor’s intentions after she had taken down ‘all the photos’ that he thought were unacceptable.
Hill then said: “But it’s not my place to teach you. I’ve made my boundaries clear. You refuse to let go of some of them and you’ve made that clear and I hope it makes you happy.”
Brady told her followers that she struggles with mental health but she doesn’t use it as an excuse to control other people.
“It’s been a year of healing and growth with the help of loved ones and doctors to get back to living my life without guilt, shame, and self-judgment for things as small as surfing in a swimsuit rather than a more conservative wetsuit. And I’m sure there’s still much more healing from this abuse ahead of me.”
Brady also explained that Hill’s actions did not necessarily make him a bad person. “Someone being an emotionally abusive partner doesn’t mean they’re a terrible person (often stems from their own trauma) and at the same time it doesn’t mean it’s ok.”
