Kanye West has returned to Instagram and announced that he is redesigning McDonald’s food packaging.
The 44-year-old just returned to the social media platform after being suspended in March for attacking his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her new beau Pete Davidson.
Sharing a photo of his new design, the rapper wrote: “Ye teams up with legendary Muji industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to reimagine McDonald’s packaging.”
“Next week it’s the fries,” Kanye wrote on Instagram Stories as he referenced his 2005 music Gold Digger where he rapped: “This week he moppin floors, next week it’s the fries.”
The fast food company has yet to comment on the collaboration on their social media pages.
From its boxy shape to its transparent wrapper, the new design shows that it has the rapper’s touch. His choice to have collaboration with McDonald’s may come a little it out of the field but he previously expressed his liking for the company in the poem McDonalds Man.
In 2020, Kanye and his ex-wife Kim were featured in a McDonald’s post on Instagram showing their favorite meals.
The rapper loved to buy Chicken McNuggets, a milkshake, and fries while Kim ordered hamburger, apple pie, Chicken McNuggets, and fries.
Kanye’s announcement served as his first time to post on Instagram after his 24-hour suspension.
Speaking to TMZ, a spokesperson for Meta – the company that owns Instagram – said that Kanye’s posts violated their policies on bullying, harassment, and hate speech.
Aside from attacking his ex-wife and her boyfriend, Kanye also posted photos of host Trevor Noah with a rac*st caption.
