Liam Neeson, 70, has revealed how he was left feeling uncomfortable as a guest when he appeared on the daytime show ‘The View’ to promote his movie, Marlowe.
It turned out that the panel – which comprised of Farah Griffin, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro – left the Taken actor feeling ‘uncomfortable.’
Before he could speak about his 100th film, Behar quickly mentioned that she had a crush on him, with one of the co-presenters saying: “Joy wants to get taken by you.”
The segment also showed videos of the 80-year-old making comments such as: “I would just like to have my ashes sprinkled over Liam Neeson.”
While viewers laughed at the remark, it seems the actor did not see the funny side.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Memory star said that the segment left him ‘uncomfortable.’
“I was in the dressing room drinking a cup of tea, turned the TV up, and I thought, oh, this will be great,” the Schindler’s List star told the magazine,” he revealed.
“They’re talking about gun violence in America, and I agree that it’s an American problem. I go onstage and join the ladies during the break, and I was congratulating them on this discussion,” Liam continued.
“And then our segment starts, and it’s just all this BS with Joy and Liam Neeson and having a crush, and I’ve known Whoopi for years and Joy a little bit, but I just wasn’t impressed.
“I’m uncomfortable in those situations, you know?”
He then said that he had a ‘good, intelligent conversation’ with co-host Hostin after the on-air segment.
“But then the segment’s all about this thirteen, fourteen-year-old crush. It’s just a bit embarrassing,” he added.
