Macaulay Culkin’s fans are celebrating as he will finally get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The former child star, now 43, became a household name when he starred in the 1990 film Home Alone, which follows the story of a young boy who is forced to defend his home against burglars.
As a result of Culkin’s lasting legacy, he is set to receive the 2,765th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
Ana Martinez, the Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said in a statement: “Macaulay Culkin has been a staple in pop culture for decades.
“He has an extensive trajectory of work but his movie, Home Alone is one of the most beloved holiday movies known the world over.
“How fitting that Catherine O’Hara who played Macaulay’s mother in the film is reuniting with her movie son and will be speaking at the ceremony!”
The actor had appeared in 13 movies and five TV shows. His career has quieted down in his mid-teens but he slowly made his comeback in the mid 2000s, appearing in the likes of ‘Will & Grace’ and ‘Robot Chicken.’
In 2022, he became a part of three TV series: The Paloni Show! Halloween Special!, Entergalactic, and The Righteous Gemstones.
Fans were quick to take to social media to express their excitement, with one person writing: “Deserved. He is a holiday icon for the past, present and future.”
Another wrote: “He gave us one of the best movie for our childhood, i’m happy for him.”
A shocked fan said: “Thought he had one??? He is an iconic child actor that made our childhood great! I’m [surprised].”
