New York Magazine appears to be confused over the role of Meghan Markle in the Royal Family as it deleted and reposted a tweet about her to add her title – Duchess of Sussex.
According to the Daily Star, the publication deleted a tweet that only mentioned her name and added her title Duchess of Sussex.
The original post read: “Presenting our Fall Fashion issue cover star: Meghan Markle.”
But the post was later deleted and replaced with: ‘Presenting our Fall Fashion issue cover star: Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.’
Both tweets noted that she has already cut ties with the Royal Family, also referred to as ‘The Firm.’
“She’s left the Firm behind. Harry’s found a polo team in Santa Barbara. The kids are doing great,” the post reads.
The other change in the post is the last sentence which originally read: “She’s ready for her own next act” and was changed to “Now Markle is ready for her own next act.”
Below the pitch is the cover page featuring Meghan wearing a black turtleneck. Some day that it is reminiscent of the photo of the late Princess Diana on the cover of Michael O Mara’s photobook.
In the bombshell interview, Meghan proudly declares her independence from the monarchy.
“Do you want to know a secret? I’m getting back… on Instagram.”
The duchess claimed that she was restricted to a pre-existing account @KensingtonRoyal while she was still a senior member of the Royal Family.
Before she tied the knot with Harry, she had her own Instagram account with more than three million followers.
“It’s a big adjustment – a huge adjustment to go from that kind of autonomy to a different life,” she expressed.
