The man who went viral for dressing in an expensive and ultra-realistic dog costume has now left his home to make new friends.
The Japanese man in question, who only goes by the name Toco, previously revealed it was always his passion to act and look like a dog even though he never got the courage to tell his family and friends about his bizarre hobby.
For years, however, his unusual passion remained hidden in fears that he would be mocked and excommunicated for being different.
Recently, however, Toco invested in an ultra-realistic dog costume that cost him a whopping $15,000. While he only dared to wear the costume at home at first, he now finally got the courage to go outside and meet new furry friends.
In pictures shared on social media, the man is seen walking outside in his costume while on a leash. He is also seen bonding with new dog friends as onlookers watch on and marvel at his size.
“Ever since I was a small child, I wanted to be an animal. I think it is a desire to transform. I’ve thought about it since I can remember,” Toco previously told MailOnline.
“I don’t want my hobbies to be known, especially by the people I work with. They think it’s weird that I want to be a dog. For the same reason why I can’t show my real face.”
More recently, during his first attempt to make friends out in the real world, Toco added: “I’m wearing a leash because people are surprised when they see me. I’m very nervous. Do you remember your dreams from when you are little? You want to be a hero or a wizard.
“I remember writing in my grade school graduation book that I wanted to be a dog and walk outside.”
Fortunately, Toco’s “scary” experience went better than expected and he made many new friends on his walk outside.
