Most people dream about winning the lottery so they can finally enjoy life without any financial worries.

But a man who scooped the $50 million jackpot has revealed why he woke up at 4:30 a.m. to get ready for work even though he was already rich.

Pierre Richer received the life-changing news on October 6 but he was not very thrilled about it.

When his girlfriend told him about the exciting win, “I just said okay, and I walked out.”

“I’m still the same, I haven’t changed. Now I know I’ve won the money but my body doesn’t feel any different,” he expressed.

Pierre, a driver and the head of shipping at a catering company, also shared why he decided to wake up early to go to work even though he didn’t need his salary anymore.

He revealed that he will work for at least a month and see what he’s going to do.

“I just can’t leave them alone in the dark,” Pierre expressed. “Without me there, the shipping department is not feasible.”

He also revealed that he had been playing the lottery for three decades before he finally scooped the jackpot.

He said that he was not planning to buy a ticket that day but he had taken his daughter to Super C store to pick up some discounted pie crust.

“With the pie crust being on sale at the Super C, my daughter went in to get it and I got the ticket.So without the pie crust being on sale I wouldn’t have went to Super C,” he added.

Pierre also shared how he plans to spend his winnings, saying he wants to treat himself to a brand new car and a new home.
