The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s family and famous celebrity friends have ‘snubbed’ their Netflix show, according to the Daily Mail.
While Netflix has promised that interviews with ‘friends and family’ of Meghan and Harry will appear, the Mail revealed that key allies – including music producer David Foster, Vogue Editor Edward Enninful, and Elton John – won’t take part in the documentary.
It is also thought that host Oprah and the Obamas won’t be featured in the show.
According to the news outlet, there will not be a single royal in the bombshell show, not even Princess Eugenie or Princess Beatrice – the best friends of the couple among the young royals.
Their mother Sarah, the Duchess of York, will also not appear on camera, and neither is Prince Andrew.
The couple’s preferred journalist, Omid Scobie, has also not taken part.
Of all the absences, the most shocking is Vogue Editor Edward Enninful as he landed a major coup when the Duchess of Sussex agreed to guest edit the September 2019 issue.
Sources close to Enninful that he wasn’t taking part in the documentary as he recently praised Kate, the Princess of Wales, for her ‘graceful’ style.
Sir Elton, the late Princess Diana’s great friend, previously defended Harry and Meghan. He and his husband David Furnish even had the couple for family holidays at his home in France.
The singer is regarded as an unofficial godfather to both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex.
A spokesperson for music producer David Foster also confirmed that he hasn’t taken part in the show despite helping the Sussexes find a temporary home in Canada before they finally settled in California.
Representatives for the Obamas and Oprah also didn’t respond to requests but sources said both are wary of being drawn into what they think is a ‘family drama.’
