A woman who looks a lot like Meghan Markle the Duchess of Sussex has spoken out about the impact of her appearance on her personal life.

21-year-old Sidney Beckles has the face of royalty despite having no known connection to the former actress who went on to marry Prince Harry in 2018.

According to the young lady, people would often mistake her for the Duchess or say she must be her long-lost relative due to their resemblance. She also admitted that her familiar looks sometimes get her free drinks on nights out.

While she receives plenty of positive reactions in person, Sidney admitted she also takes on a lot of hateful comments from online trolls.

“Most of the hate is directed at Meghan specifically, and just telling me that I shouldn’t be proud to look like her,” she told NeedToKnow.Online as she said some people tell her she shouldn’t be proud of looking like Meghan.

“Generally, people say good things, with the most common one online being: ‘Wow, I thought this was Meghan Markle’ or ‘You look just like Meghan Markle, she’s beautiful.’ And this is similar in person.”

The part-time waitress also admitted that she and her friends previously got “free drinks” because people were convinced that she is related to the mother of two.

“I think at some angles I look like her if my hair is straightened, but in general, I never really think I do – unless someone points it out. I find we have similar facial features, specifically our smiles,” Sidney added.

“I find it a huge compliment to be considered her look-alike, as she’s a stunning woman.”

Since her TikTok exploded with new fans and comments, Sidney also shared a series of photos in which she resembles the Duchess the most.

“Meghan, is that you?” one fan wrote in response.

“I seriously thought Meghan joined TikTok until I saw who posted this..” another said.
