Meghan Markle dazzled as she attended the Variety magazine’s Power of Women gala in Los Angeles.
The Duchess of Sussex joined a star-studded list of honorees and attendees on Thursday night while she and the Duke of Sussex distance themselves from the latest book released by their former ally Omid Scobie.
Last year, the mother-of-two was the magazine’s cover star and was among those garlanded.
When Entertainment Tonight asked Markle if it was a ‘mom’s night out,’ she laughed and responded: “Exactly.”
The Duchess also told Variety that she had ‘no idea’ why her TV series Suits suddenly regained popularity.
“It was great to work on. Such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit,” she said.
“But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”
When asked what was ‘driving the things you put out in the business,’ the Duchess responded: “Things that make people feel… I was going to say things that make people feel good, but it’s more than that. Things that make people feel something, right? And a sense of community.
“But we have so many exciting things on the slate, I can’t wait until we can announce them. I’m just really proud of what we’re creating.”
Markle also expressed her appreciation for women supporting each other. “The more we support each other, it amplifies the work, amplifies our community – and I’m just thrilled to be back in it.”
