Miley Cyrus has refused to thank her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, after she received her first Grammy.
On Monday, the Flowers singer took to Instagram and again did not acknowledge her dad but mentioned her mom Tish, her sister Brandi, her godmother Dolly Parton, and also Mariah Carey.
“I had all the perfect things to say but none of them could come out in this moment of shock,” she wrote.
Cyrus continued: “I’m happy they didn’t… because (thankfully) prepared perfection just isn’t my story,’ she joked.
“Life is so much more exciting this way. Thank you @mariahcarey for being so iconic MCxMC4EVR.”
She then thanked her mother again, writing: “To my mommy @tishcyrus I love you more than anything in the entire universe, my family, @brandicyrus thank you for being there like always, my godmother @dollyparton – I felt your fairy dust everywhere ( I put a little extra in my hair , could you tell?!).”
Cyrus also thanked her friends and boyfriend.
“My lover, my momos, my friends, my collaborators , @kidharpoon @tylersamj @pollackmusic @aldaelong , every single person who made this song and album possible!” she wrote.
Her makeup and hair team was also mentioned: “My team (a little extra love to the glam team).”
She also mentioned her fans and said that they saw her before the award. “I never needed it because I HAVE YOU,” she wrote.
It seems Cyrus have distanced herself from her dad after her parents have decided to separate ways.
The 31-year-old singer was one of the biggest winners of the night. Cyrus won Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year for Flowers, beating Taylor Swift to receive the first Grammy Award of the night.
