The Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has given an insight into her ‘real adult relationship’ with her Enola Holmes 2 co-star Henry Cavill, 39.
When asked by Deadline how her relationship with The Witcher actor differs from that of her co-stars in Stranger Things, she replied:
“It’s different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I met them when I was 10. So for me, it does feel like your schoolmates,” the 18-year-old actress said.
“And with Henry, it feels like a real adult relationship.”
Brown, who has known the actor since filming of the first Enola Holmes installment started in 2019, also shared the ‘strict’ boundaries Cavill put in place.
“(We have) like a really good friendship, a really healthy one. One that we may have terms and conditions,” she expressed.
What makes their friendship ‘healthy’ seems to be the restrictions Cavill put in place when it comes to talking about their personal lives.
“I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me,” Brown, who plays the titular character in Enola Holmes, said. “I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life. It’s like, ‘Millie, shut up. No.’ And I’m like ‘Understood.’”
Brown also said that the dynamic is different with her Stranger Things co-stars as they all grew up together.
“There’s no boundaries because it’s like we’re all siblings,” she said. “But with Henry, he’s very strict with me, which I appreciate.”
Brown is not a stranger to adult friendships. She has previously shared her connections with singer Mariah Carey, 52, and rapper Drake, 36.
In 2019, she told The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon that she first connected with Carey after seeing her 11-year-old son dressed as Eleven for Halloween.
“I love the way that she leads her life with so much power. And she has so much knowledge, and she’s so wise. And she’s just been an incredible guiding light for me and then we connected,” she expressed.
