Most of us are excited to decorate for the holidays and place some gifts under our Christmas trees.
But one mom has shared how she made a terrifying discovery while inspecting her Christmas tree and people were left horrified, with many describing it as their ‘biggest fear’.
The woman, who goes under the username @gina_premmama on TikTok, got the fright of her life when she noticed two beady eyes staring back at her.
The mother-of-two explained that she kept on hearing rustling noise between the branches so she grabbed a broomstick to find out what that was.
But while moving the branches aside, she almost fell on the floor when a scared mouse appeared.
The caption read: “Help!!!!!” as a rendition of Michael Buble’s It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas played in the background.
Shocked Gina wrote over her video: “Thought I was seeing things,” and added a panicked emoji.
Many TikTok users were quick to share their thoughts, with one person writing: “I would of died on the spot.”
Another said: “It is my biggest fear to come across a mouse in my Christmas tree.”
A third said: “I would have destroyed the whole tree in a panic.”
Someone else added: “The way I would’ve simply set the whole tree on fire.”
But others were sympathetic to the frightened rodent and urged Gina to take it from the tree without hurting it.
“Please don’t hurt him. You may have taken his home accidentally please don’t hurt him,” one pleaded.
“People this dramatic over a mouse,” another wrote.
Gina then shared a follow-up clip and said: “No mouse was harmed in the making of this video he’s safely outside now with my Christmas tree.”
