‘I’m Not Letting My Mother-In-Law See My 10-Week-Old Baby After She Secretly Fed Her ICE CREAM’

A furious mother has spoken out and slammed her mother-in-law after she secretly fed her young baby a forbidden food.

According to the young mom in question, her daughter is just 10 weeks old, and she doesn’t yet give her any dairy products as per professional advice.

Despite making this rule clear to her mother-in-law, the latter decided to feed the baby some ice cream behind the child’s mother’s back when they were spending time together over the weekend.

Eventually, after the baby developed a rash and got an upset stomach, the grandmother admitted to her son that she fed ice cream to his baby.

“I’m assuming it was just the finger-tip full of ice cream. I know this was true because later on she told my husband she did it,” the upset mom of the baby wrote in her post.

“I have noooo idea why. Both my husband and I said no multiple times.”

She continued: “Although she is seemingly fine, I can’t forgive my mother-in-law. She knew it was wrong or she wouldn’t have hidden.

“We have repeatedly said no. She’s still too young, we were worried about allergies, and we want to be there for fun stuff like that (when she’s old enough).”

Amid the fallout, the woman also insisted she and her husband temporarily cut all ties with his mother to teach her a lesson. The husband, however, promised to talk it out with his mother instead.

Refusing to budge, the woman also claimed that her mother-in-law never really liked her and that she referred to her as an “incubator” throughout her pregnancy.

Asking the internet for advice, the new mom quickly received lots of support from people who condemned the grandmother’s actions.

“She hurt your baby after years of trying to hurt you. You are very much under-reacting. I would cut ties until she indicates remorse for her behavior and [your husband] can handle her without getting steamrolled. I recommend couple’s counselling for that second goal,” someone said.

“That should be a deal-breaker. If ANYONE does something to or with your child after you asked them not to, [they] cannot be trusted ever,” another wrote.
