Fuming Mom Bans Her Children From Watching ‘Rude’ And ‘Deceptive’ Peppa Pig

A mother who doesn’t appear to be a huge fan of ‘deceptive’ pigs has voiced her concerns over the beloved cartoon Peppa Pig.

The children’s cartoon follows the life of young pigs Peppa and George and their adventures and friendships with other animals in their town.

And while the cartoon remains very popular in countries around the globe, one Irish mom, Brittany, doesn’t let her children watch the show for plenty of reasons.

For one, the mother believes that the main character has “cringeworthy attitude problems” as seen in the way she speaks to her friends and family members.

What’s more, Brittany thinks Peppa Pig is “rude and stupid” while her father is useless and her mother is dumb.

“Children are impressionable, always copying what they see and hear. Aside from Peppa’s attitude, the characters are caricatures: a perceptively unintelligent mother and a useless father (who gets picked on for his size),” the mother fumed.

“I don’t think it’s acceptable to display this to my children who use characters on the TV as role models.”

Not backing down for one second, Brittany continued: “Peppa Pig is deceptive – it is not as ‘lightweight’ as you might think. These underlying poor values are soaked up by young children.”

And while some may have found the mother’s review of the beloved cartoon as extreme and excessive, plenty of other parents seemed to agree with her on social media.

“I hate how she talks over her friends. I do not allow Peppa Pig in my house. My youngest watched it once and I’ve had problems ever since,” someone agreed.

“Can’t stand Peppa Pig. We have stayed away from her,” another said.

A third wrote: “Peppa has some serious issues. I know it seems like nothing at first but when children see it over and over again it gets into their head.”
